Tips for Taking a Course

How To Get Started

The way you start anything new makes a big difference. Let’s make sure you get the strongest start possible. This page will help you get the little things—like logistics—in place so you can focus on the BIG things—like creating a stronger relationship. Let me be your guide…

Please click on each topic to read through the important information below before our first class:

What is the best way to view the class?

The best way to view the class is on a full-size, desktop or laptop computer. If you are using a tablet, you might find that landscape view works best for you to be able to access the course navigation links easily.

Some classes will be hosted on Zoom. If you have never used Zoom before, make sure to follow the instructions on using the app under the “How do I log in to Zoom” in the next section of FAQs.

What are the two secrets that will help me get the strongest start?

Schedule: when and where (coming soon!)

Identify your sabotaging method and make a plan (coming soon!)

Take a tour of the classroom

Pdf and video coming soon!

Here are the logistics:

How do I ask a question?

Most of us have the same questions. Everyone will be glad you asked so they didn’t have to. Please post your question or discussion topic in the class forum. If you need to ask a private question of me please email me at rbcamullen@gmail.com or text me 970-210-4480.

How do I find discussions?

Some classes have a forum associated with them. If that is the case, you will be automatically enrolled in the forum when the class begins.

I’ve chosen this forum platform to protect your privacy. Please agree that what is said in our group stays in our group. Our experiences are almost always universal. If you’re struggling with something, most likely someone else is too. If you have a success, people want to know about it. You’re already enrolled in the class forum, so feel free to chime in or start a new discussion.

Links to all of your enrolled forums can be found at the bottom of the Member Profile page.

How do I change my email address or password?

If you need to update your email address or would like to change the password on your account, you can do so from your Member Profile page. This is the central dashboard for your account and also contains links to all of your courses (past and present), your account history, and your forums.

If our class uses Zoom, here are a few more tips for you:

How do I log in to Zoom?

The Zoom links for class can be found on the course home page (make sure you are logged in).

Simply click on the “Join the Zoom Meeting” link and then follow the prompts. You can also find the zoom link, meeting ID and passcode in the module for each week. You are not required to install any extra software to join a Zoom meeting. If you don’t have the Zoom desktop app installed, when you click on the link the page will urge you to download the app, but you can safely ignore this if you’d like and skip down to the small print: “If you cannot download or run the application, join from your browser.”

Here are complete instructions on how to join a zoom meeting for all different types of devices. On country drop down use country: USA for sign up.

How do I find the Zoom recording after each class?

If you missed the zoom for a class (or just want to watch it again) you can find it on the page for that week’s module. The recording will replace the Zoom link after the class is over.

My best techie tips (for non-techie’s):

Use the Right Browser

For the best user experience, we recommend using Chrome as your default browser. Safari or Firefox are also great options. Also, make sure you have the most up-to-date version to keep your entire digital life running faster and smoother.

Viewing & Downloading PDFs

Download your course materials or simply view them in a browser window. Regardless of your computer, operating system, or browser, our PDFs work with Adobe Reader (it’s free and easy), Adobe Acrobat Pro or even Adobe Preview.

Log In from One Browser

The Rebecca Mullen Coaching Classroom is designed to be accessed from one browser or platform at a time. Please don’t have the website open on your desktop, laptop, smartphone, and tablet all at once or open in multiple browsers simultaneously. This causes the system to loop you around and around. Trust us, it’s not as fun as it sounds!

Logout Please

Before you close your browser window or power down, click the “LOGOUT” button in the top right corner of the navigation bar. This resets the system in case you login from a different browser or device later on. It’s also a great habit to ensure the security of all of your personal information.

Tech Issues? Try This:

We’ve found that many technical glitches can be easily fixed by simply clearing your browser cache. There’s no need for you to proactively do this unless you experience difficulties, but if you do, try logging out of the system first, closing any browser windows, and then clearing your cache (if you don’t know how to do this, please see these instructions for clearing cache for all major browsers).

Zoom trouble? If you want to make sure you are ready to go for our first zoom meeting, or if you are having trouble joining a class meeting, you can try out a test meeting and find troubleshooting tips here.

Ready to head back to class?

We’ve got your spot saved, just click the “Resume” button (you must be logged in for this feature to work).
